Why Say Yes to Kids?

“There is no better time to start a family than now.”

Workforce Population Replacement

There are not enough births to replace the Working Force in the future, this also affects the amount of people who can support the increased amount of the aged.

Slow Growth Rate

In recent years, the percentage of annual growth from births has gone into the negatives, not enough to keep up the country's entire population. A dwindling population means less people in the workforce, less gross national income and reduced ability to protect the country with able-bodied youth (via National Service).

About us

“A campaign that encourages young
married couples to start planning for a family.”

Why?
Singapore has been experiencing a declining birth rate which could potentially affect all of us
in the near future. This includes our ageing population, who will suffer a great deal
as they may not receive enough support.

Long term Goals: That young married couples have children
early and have more than one child.”

Family Planning
We understand that having a larger family means more mouths to feed, so some families are deterred from having more than one child, afraid of the expenses from the upbringing of the children.
"Say Yes to Kids!" was created to aid these families all in one site, to inform and educate of our nation's policies that can help them cope with the rising expenses of everyday needs.

Objectives: Improve the declining birth rate
of Singapore, which in turn will help
garner more employment opportunities for our citizens”

How?
Recently in the news this year (2016), some secondary schools have no intake of Secondary 1 students due to falling cohort numbers and less student posted to schools, that means less need for large amount of teachers. If this trend keeps up, less children mean lesser employees needed in any school, be it Kindergarten or Polytechnic. This may even spread to the rest of the workforce outside the education industry, as there will be not enough adults to support the nation's economy and ageing population.
